Don't Let Them Shoot the Kite

The setting is a women's prison in Turkey, where a young boy lives alongside his mother after her drug conviction. He is drawn to İnci (Nur Sürer), a political prisoner who treats him gently, and a close friendship grows between them behind the walls. Tunç Başaran, adapting Feride Çiçekoğlu's novella, keeps the camera on the child and the women around him.
