Don't Make Waves

(1967)Directed by Alexander Mackendrick97 minComedy
“What the Italians do with a bed... the Americans do with a beach!”

Carlo Cofield (Tony Curtis) comes to Southern California on vacation and wants nothing more than to fit in with the easy-going beach crowd. He falls into two romances at once, one with Laura (Claudia Cardinale) and another with Malibu (Sharon Tate), while Diane Prescott (Joanna Barnes) and Harry Hollard (David Draper) complicate the picture. Alexander Mackendrick's comedy leaves Carlo with a lot to juggle and no clear idea of what he stands to lose.
