In upper-class Lima, Joaquin (Santiago Magill) grows up hiding his sexual identity from a macho, snobbish father who expects him to be someone else. Francisco J. Lombardi follows him from boyhood through his teens, then into college and pot-smoking days of doing little. By the time cocaine shows up, in Lima and later in Miami, Joaquin is still keeping the one thing about himself that he can't say out loud.
