Don't Touch the White Woman!

(1974)Directed by Marco Ferreri108 minComedy, Western

George A. Custer (Marcello Mastroianni) is a cavalry general with a Sioux war to fight and a taste for the company of Marie-Hélène de Boismonfrais (Catherine Deneuve). The road to the Little Bighorn runs through a stretch of modern Paris torn up for urban renewal, where Buffalo Bill (Michel Piccoli) and General Terry (Philippe Noiret) also turn up. Marco Ferreri stages the whole campaign in that excavated ground, and the actors play it with perfectly straight faces.
