“An ecological nightmare gone berserk!”

Dr. Shaw (Ian Bannen) is sent to an island after the surrounding waters are contaminated by chemical dumping, and the people who eat fish caught there have begun to turn deformed and violent. Peter Sasdy shoots the island in a flat, grainy light that keeps the dread close to the skin.
