Double Wedding

(1937)Directed by Richard Thorpe87 minComedy, Romance
“A Riot of Laughs!”

In 1937, Charles Lodge (William Powell) lives in a bohemian trailer and answers to no one's schedule. Then he meets Waldo Beaver (John Beal), a timid man who has lost his fiancée Irene (Florence Rice) to her sister's rule, and Charles sets about winning her back, which brings him up against the sister, Margit Agnew (Myrna Loy). Richard Thorpe stages their first clash with Loy in a severe suit, Powell in rumpled clothes, the trailer behind them.
