Dough

“It's not just the bread that's getting baked.”

Nat (Jonathan Pryce) is an elderly Jewish baker whose family shop is running short of customers and short of money. When he takes on Ayyash (Jerome Holder), a young Muslim apprentice, some cannabis falls into the dough by accident, and the loaves start selling out. John Goldschmidt sets the odd pair side by side at the ovens, one old man and one boy, and the work they share gives them a quiet understanding.
