Dovbush

Oleksa Dovbush (Serhiy Strelnykov) takes to the Carpathian mountains as an opryshko, an outlaw, when foreign rule bears down on the Hutsuls in the early eighteenth century. His brother Ivan (Oleksii Hnatkovskyi) takes the same road but cares only for money, while Oleksa fights for his people. Oles Sanin follows him as the lords send soldiers and then plan to reach him through Marichka (Darya Plakhtiy), the childhood sweetheart he loves.
