Down by Love

Jean (Guillaume Gallienne) is a prison director, a man whose days are built around rules and locked doors. Anna (Adèle Exarchopoulos) is one of his inmates, and Pierre Godeau's film, based on a true story, follows a love between them that neither is supposed to have. She stands on the far side of the bars, and he looks at her through them.
