Mrs. Van Houten (Laura Albert) has been slipping out of touch with reality, so her husband takes her to see Dr. Caligari (Madeleine Reynal). The doctor diagnoses a disease of the libido and takes the case, which is only the first of her illegal experiments on patients. Stephen Sayadian directs this quasi-sequel to the 1920 Cabinet of Dr. Caligari as a deadpan, avant-garde nightmare in which everyone speaks as if nothing were wrong.
