“There's a New Action Hero in Town!”

Wai Bok Si (Jet Li) writes serial adventure stories, and he would like his own life to hold half the thrills of his hero, the King of Adventurers. It does, since the facts give him a mess of personal troubles and then drop him into his hero's own exploits, with Rosamund Kwan Chi-Lam among those caught up around him. Tony Ching Siu-tung stages the chases and fights as comic romps, so the film plays the old pulp adventure as a game worth losing yourself in.
