“The greatest victories don't always happen on the field.”

Sonny Weaver Jr. (Kevin Costner) is the general manager of the Cleveland Browns, a man working in the shadow of his late father's legacy. On the morning of the NFL Draft, he trades for the number one pick, and Ali Parker (Jennifer Garner) and Vince Penn (Denis Leary) each want a different say in how he uses it. Ivan Reitman gives him a single day, with a few hundred young men waiting on his call.
