Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku

“This is the story of Bardock, the father of Goku.”

Bardock (Masako Nozawa), a low-ranking Saiyan soldier, is sent to purge another planet, and the last survivor there leaves him with the power to see the future. What he sees is the destruction of his own race at the hands of Frieza. Mitsuo Hashimoto's special, set on the Saiyan homeworld twelve years before the first Dragon Ball story, is about one man who cannot let a whole people die without trying to stop it.
