Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks

(1993)Directed by Yoshihiro Ueda48 minAnimation, Action, Science Fiction
“This is the story of the future that never was.”

Trunks (Takeshi Kusao) is a teenager, Bulma's son, who wants to end the Androids' thirteen-year killing spree and save a world that has almost no one left in it. Son Gohan (Masako Nozawa) is the last fighter still standing against them, and he takes the boy on as his student. Yoshihiro Ueda directs this television special with a flat, quiet restraint, letting the ruined landscape and the long silences speak.
