Raiders burn through the countryside and kill the family of Lukas (Jack Kane), a young farmer who is left with nothing but a wish for revenge. He sets out on the road and ends up beside Darius (Joseph Millson), a sword-fighting mercenary, and Siveth, a dragon voiced by Helena Bonham Carter. Ivan Silvestrini sends the three of them off together, a farmer, a hired blade and a dragon.
