Dreams

Susanne (Eva Dahlbeck) runs a fashion studio, and she takes her young model Doris (Harriet Andersson) to Gothenburg for a photo shoot. Each woman arrives hoping a man will make good on what he promised her, and each has her own idea of how to ask for it. Bergman sets the older and the younger woman side by side, so what they hope for, and how long they can go on hoping, reads differently on each of them.
