Two brothers paddle out into the killer waves off Western Australia in the 1970s, chasing a living from the surf in a town that has no use for it. Andy Kelly (Myles Pollard) is the older one, Jimmy Kelly (Xavier Samuel) the younger, and they take on the bikers and the conservative locals with JB (Sam Worthington) drifting into the picture. Morgan O'Neill and Ben Nott direct a story where the brothers' bond is tested by every dollar they chase.
