Drive

“There are no clean getaways.”

By day Driver (Ryan Gosling) does stunt work in Hollywood, and by night he takes jobs behind the wheel for criminals, giving them five minutes and nothing more. Then Irene (Carey Mulligan), the neighbor he has been quietly drawn to, sees her husband Standard (Oscar Isaac) released from prison and pulled toward a million-dollar heist. Nicolas Winding Refn leaves Driver in his jacket, a toothpick between his teeth, the city's neon sliding across the windshield.
