Drive a Crooked Road

“Why would a dame like her go for a guy like me?”

Eddie Shannon (Mickey Rooney), a mechanic who spends his days under other people's cars, gets noticed by Barbara Mathews (Dianne Foster) and can't quite believe it. Richard Quine follows him as he falls for her, and as Steve Norris (Kevin McCarthy) and the gangsters around him start to take an interest in Eddie's hands. The woman he's chasing belongs to a gangster, and Eddie is in deeper than any garage job ever put him.
