Drugstore Cowboy

“Sooner or later, someone will pay the price.”

Bob (Matt Dillon) leads a crew of four through Portland in 1971, hitting drugstores and hospital medicine cabinets for whatever will feed their habits. His wife Dianne (Kelly Lynch) rides along with Rick and Nadine, and Gus Van Sant films the break-ins and the long days between them in a loose, faded 70s grain. Every score keeps four people in pills for a little longer, and Bob knows neither luck nor fun lasts.
