Drunken Master

“The Original Kung Fu Comedy!”

Wong Fei-hung (Jackie Chan) keeps picking fights he can't win and talking his way into trouble, until his father ships him off to Beggar So (Simon Yuen Siu-Tien), a filthy, ill-tempered old man who trains him with real cruelty. Yuen Woo-ping stages the lessons as slapstick that hurts, with every stretch and spill landing on Chan's body. Between the two grows a bond that has to survive the master's brutal methods.
