In Dindigul, a flower seller's son grows up among market stalls and the men who run the town's streets. M. Vascodagama (Vijay Sethupathi) crosses a ruthless rowdy, Muttai Ravi (Prabhakar), and that quarrel pushes him toward a police uniform. Ponram sets the fight between a rising officer and a man the town already fears, with Vascodagama's family and his place in Dindigul at risk.
