“Leave your comfort zone.”

Why does a man with five days to cross the country end up in a stranger's car? Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.) loses his wallet and luggage in Atlanta and lands on the no-fly list, so he accepts a ride from Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis), an aspiring actor. Todd Phillips sends them toward Los Angeles, where Peter's wife, Sarah (Michelle Monaghan), is due to give birth.
