Duelle (Une Quarantaine)

In Paris in 1976, two women arrive separately, each carrying the same hidden purpose. Leni (Juliet Berto) and Viva (Bulle Ogier) move through the city's streets and hotels, and the people they meet are pulled into a conflict that grows more fantastical by the day. Jacques Rivette makes it a contest over desire and power, fought for a stay on earth that only one of them can win.
