Dunkirk

(1958)Directed by Leslie Norman134 minDrama, War

Corporal Tubby Binns (John Mills) wants one thing once his officer is killed in France: to get the men now under his care back to Britain alive. In Leslie Norman's film, his march toward the coast runs alongside John Holden (Richard Attenborough), Charles Foreman (Bernard Lee) and the civilians pulled into Operation Dynamo, some stepping forward, others dragged. Binns stays with his men, the Dunkirk beaches still ahead of them.
