Eagles of the Republic

George Fahmy (Fares Fares) is the most adored actor in Egypt, a man whose face people recognize on sight. When the highest authorities commission a film and want him in it, he reluctantly says yes, and the work pulls him into the inner circle of power. Tarik Saleh follows George toward the general's wife, Donya (Lyna Khoudri), and shows how a country's most loved face can be used by the people who rule it.
