Ángel Bengoelxeo (Carmelo Gómez) arrives in a Spanish wine-producing region to exterminate a pest that is ruining the vines, and finds himself falling for two women, Ángela (Emma Suárez) and Mari (Silke). Julio Medem follows a man who cannot decide where he belongs, drawn to the people and the land around him. Ángel stands among the vines, his eyes on the soil, the women at either edge of the field.
