Earth vs. the Flying Saucers

(1956)Directed by Fred F. Sears83 minAction, Science Fiction
“The terrifying truth about flying saucers!”

In 1956, test rockets keep exploding at liftoff, and reports of flying saucers are piling up. Fred F. Sears follows scientist Russell Marvin (Hugh Marlowe) and his wife Carol (Joan Taylor) as the saucers arrive, survivors of a dead civilization from beyond our galaxy, armored against everything and carrying ray weapons. Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion saucers carry the film's fear of invaders that cannot be reasoned with.
