“Enter a world of magic and music”

Why would a girl raised in an orphanage be perfectly happy there, and why does she look so pleased when a stranger finally comes to take her away? Earwig (Kokoro Hirasawa) finds out when she is taken in by Bella Yaga (Shinobu Terajima), a witch who wants a helper and has no interest in a daughter. Gorō Miyazaki animates it entirely in computer-generated 3D, adapting the Diana Wynne Jones novel.
