Bruno (Fabrizio Bentivoglio), a melancholy professor, takes on a rebellious teenager as a private pupil and learns that the boy, Luca (Filippo Scicchitano), is his son. Francesco Bruni sets the two of them in the same room, one lonely and careful, the other restless and wary of being managed. Bruno has a grown man's habits and no practice at fatherhood, and he is risking the quiet life he has built.
