Easy Living

(1937)Directed by Mitchell Leisen88 minComedy, Romance
“It's dizzy - it's daffy, It's cockeyed - it's laughy!”

A sable coat drops from a high window and lands on a working girl riding the top of a bus, and no one can say why. Mary Smith (Jean Arthur) never asked for it, and the man who threw it, financier J.B. Ball (Edward Arnold), only wanted to teach his spendthrift family a lesson. Mitchell Leisen follows the coat as it sets the whole city guessing about her, while Mary keeps trying to hand it back.
