Ed and His Dead Mother

“A family reunion with some minor complications.”

Ed Chilton (Steve Buscemi) has spent a year grieving his mother and wants her back, so he hands money to A.J. Pattle (John Glover), a salesman who promises to bring her home. Director Jonathan Wacks sets the story in a quiet small town, with Ned Beatty as Ed's Uncle Benny looking on. Under the deadpan jokes sits a plain question about a family: how far a son will go to avoid being left alone.
