Margret (Sydney Sweeney) and her husband Heinz (Daniel Brühl) arrive on Floreana Island in the Galápagos with nothing but the idea of building a new life from scratch. They are not alone for long: a baroness (Ana de Armas) and her entourage settle nearby, each with their own reasons for disappearing. As supplies dwindle and isolation calcifies, the settlers begin to turn against one another, and the island's promise curdles into suspicion and violence.
