In a small German court, the Grand Duchess (Sidse Babett Knudsen) has a shy young son, Prince Lothar (Emil Aron Dorph), who needs to learn how to woo. Cazotte (Mikkel Boe Følsgaard), a self-appointed expert on love, takes the lessons on, and Bille August lets the two of them work through the plan with Ehrengard (Alice E. Bier Zandén) in the room.
