Peter (Joshua Schaefer) has been in love with the girl next door for years. Erica (Keri Russell) hasn't noticed, so on his grandfather's advice he pitches camp on her front lawn, vowing to stay all summer or until she agrees to a date. His father won't let him back in the house, not even for clean clothes, and Michael Davis follows him there with the days running out.
