El compadre Mendoza

Felipe Mendoza (Pepe del Río) owns a hacienda in the middle of the Mexican Revolution, and he keeps it by pleasing whoever rides up to the door. For Huerta's officers he hangs Huerta's portrait and throws a party, and for Zapata's men the portrait comes down and Zapata's goes up. Fernando de Fuentes keeps the camera in the hacienda's rooms, where the painted frames wait on the wall, one face always leaning against the plaster.
