El Conde

(2023)Directed by Pablo Larraín111 min · RFantasy, Comedy, Horror
“Things are about to get bloody...”

Augusto Pinochet (Jaime Vadell) is 250 years old and a vampire, and he has decided he is ready to die. His wife Lucia (Gloria Münchmeyer), his butler Fyodor (Alfredo Castro) and the people around him would rather he stayed alive for one last bite. Pablo Larraín shoots the satire in stark black and white, with a still frame and a deadpan hold that lets the absurdity sit.
