El Condor

“You can get killed trying to break through the walls of El Condor...but it's one helluva way to die!”

Luke (Jim Brown), an escaped convict in 19th-century Mexico, wants the gold said to be locked inside a fortress commanded by Chavez (Patrick O'Neal). He teams with Jaroo (Lee Van Cleef), a loner prospector, and a band of Apaches, since the walls are high and the guns are many. John Guillermin sends them toward a fortress rumored to hold Emperor Maximilian's reserves, and every man in the party is betting his life on that rumor.
