El Lemby

El-Limby (Mohamed Saad) lives with his mother Faransa (Abla Kamel) in a run-down neighborhood in Egypt, and he has fallen for the girl next door, Nosa (Haala Shiha). Her father objects to the match, and Faransa tells her son he had better find a job if he means to support a wife. Wael Ihsan's comedy was a 2002 hit that pushed Saad past Adel Imam in popularity, and the film still leans on the crowded street and Hasan Hosny's Amm Bakh.
