El Polaquito
“First you have to know how to suffer, then love, then leave.”
Thirteen-year-old El Polaquito (Abel Ayala) earns his living singing tangos to passengers on the commuter trains of Buenos Aires, and no one around him can say how a boy that young came to be working a station alone. He falls for La Pelu (Marina Glezer), a 16-year-old who works for the mafia that runs child exploitation there, and sets out to get her away from it. Desanzo films the station and the trains close and unglamorous, with the dull light of working life.
