El Topo
“The definitive cult spaghetti western”
A black-clad gunfighter rides out of the desert with his naked six-year-old son, who has been told to bury his toys and the photograph of his mother. El Topo (Alejandro Jodorowsky) has set himself a task, to find and defeat the four Masters of the desert, and Jodorowsky, who also wrote and scored the film, fills the sand with maimed bodies and Christian symbols. Whatever El Topo wants from this journey, it is the boy beside him who pays for it.
