In a tidy Paris house, Michèle (Isabelle Huppert) runs a gaming software company and keeps her life in strict order. When a masked man attacks her at home, she sweeps up, goes back to work, and tells almost no one. Paul Verhoeven follows her as she starts to suspect someone she knows, and what holds between her and Patrick (Laurent Lafitte) grows more uneasy.
