Ellie and Abbie (and Ellie's Dead Aunt)

“The fight for a simple love story... that will never be simple.”

Ellie (Sophie Hawkshaw) is the school captain, and she is seriously crushing on her rebellious classmate Abbie (Zoe Terakes). She has a plan to ask Abbie to the year 12 formal in front of everyone, until her dead aunt Tara (Julia Billington) turns up, convinced she's Ellie's fairy godmother. Monica Zanetti, adapting her own stage play, gives Tara advice from her life as an out lesbian in the '80s, and Ellie keeps fumbling toward the girl she wants.
