Elsa & Fred

A seventy-seven-year-old widower moves into a Madrid apartment, and within days his daughter has had a run-in with the Argentinean woman next door. Fred (Manuel Alexandre) keeps to his hypochondria and his routines, while Elsa (China Zorrilla) lives as though nothing could stop her, and she draws him in anyway. Marcos Carnevale keeps the camera close and unhurried, letting the two of them fill the frame.
