Elsa & Fred

“It's Never Too Late.”

Fred (Christopher Plummer), a widower, has settled into a small apartment in New Orleans and expects little from what days he has left. His neighbor Elsa (Shirley MacLaine), who is 74 and loves a tall story about her past, keeps knocking on his door until he lets her in. Michael Radford follows the two of them as a friendship grows into a late romance, with a trip to Rome she has always wanted waiting ahead.
