Elvira (Cassandra Peterson) is stuck in Carpathia in 1851, thrown out of an inn over a small money dispute and in need of somewhere to sleep. A local takes her up to the castle in the hills, where Lord Vladimere Hellsubus (Richard O'Brien) lives and notices that she looks like his wife who went missing. Sam Irvin keeps the castle hammy and gaudy, and the stakes for Elvira are bigger than a bed for the night.
