“It's a Toe-Tapping Christmas in Frogtown Hollow!”

Emmet Otter (Jerry Nelson) lives with his widowed Ma (Marilyn Sokol) in a small riverside house. They get by on the little money she makes taking in washing and he makes doing odd jobs. With Christmas coming and neither able to afford a present for the other, a talent contest with a cash prize begins to look like a way out, and each of them quietly gives up a prized possession to enter. Jim Henson builds the whole river town out of puppets and tiny handmade sets.
