Enchanted April

“It's April in Italy, and anything can happen... even love.”

Two unhappy London wives, Lottie Wilkins (Josie Lawrence) and Rose Arbuthnot (Miranda Richardson), pool their savings and rent a castle in Italy for the month. They find two more women to share the cost, the young socialite Caroline Dester (Polly Walker) and the sharp-tongued Mrs Fisher (Joan Plowright). Mike Newell gathers all four in one house, and every week away from home leaves less of their old lives to go back to.
