(1981)Directed by Franco Zeffirelli116 min · RRomance, Drama

“She is 15. He is 17. The love every parent fears.”

In a suburban house in 1981, Jade (Brooke Shields) and David (Martin Hewitt) fall in love, and her father Hugh (Don Murray) cannot stand it. When Jade's grades slip, he bans the two from seeing each other for 30 days. Franco Zeffirelli treats first love as a force that overruns the people living it, so patience and reason have no place in it.
