Enemies, a Love Story

“The war was over. But can there ever be peace for a man with three wives?”

In Brooklyn after the war, Herman Broder (Ron Silver) makes his living ghostwriting for a rabbi and keeps three women in three separate lives. There is Yadwiga (Małgorzata Zajączkowska), his wife, and Masha (Lena Olin), the married woman he sees on the side. Then Tamara (Anjelica Huston), the wife he believed dead, turns up alive, and Paul Mazursky leaves Herman answering to all of them.
